Los Lagos, Junglas y Senderos , which means “Lakes, Forests and Trails,” is the hotel closest to the volcano’s active side and lava flow. You won’t believe how close until you hike up to the observatory, which you can do even if you’re not staying here (just look out your window if you are). Signs abound for emergency exit routes – how exciting. Rooms in villas, restaurant, a water splash park for kids, pool.
